The Corona Virus Pandemic is continuing, and we will begin to see more cases and more severe cases in the Capital Region. We all need to realize that the only way to fight this is to work together. What we do as individuals can help reduce the number of cases, or conversely, can make the situation worse when we decline to follow recommendations. All of us need to a) stay home except for special reasons, b) wash hands frequently, especially before and after eating, c) cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or by coughing into our elbow, and d) maintain social distance.
In our office we will continue to care for the health and safety of our patients, families, and our staff, by adjusting our work environment and adding new technologies. We are incorporating video visits to allow us to analyze and determine if a patient needs an actual in office visit, or to be able to treat certain conditions after a video visit without an in office visit. Although this is not the best solution long term, we feel this is in everyone’s best interests at this time of crisis.
We will continue to see well visits but will schedule them in the mornings, with in office sick visits being scheduled in the afternoon. Video visits will be scheduled throughout the day.
We ask your patience as we begin new technologies, remembering that we are all working towards the same goal, protecting our families while we work together, all of us, to overcome this global crisis.
